Lost Paradise - Released on Peaceville Records, is the debut album from Doom/Death pioneers (alongside Anathema and My Dying Bride) Paradise Lost. This album is certainly brilliant, with just over 40 minutes of wonderful heavy riffs, Doom-esque lyrics and various other bits and pieces. Highly recommended.

This is the third full-length album from British Doom/Death pioneers (alongside Anathema and Paradise Lost) My Dying Bride. This album I highly recommend, and is definitely one of their better releases, just after Songs of Darkness, Words of Light and The Dreadful Hours. This one is sure not to disappoint. Don't waste any time in getting this.

YOB - Elaborations of Carbon (2006)

Elaborations of Carbon is the debut album from the American (Eugene, Oregon) YOB. This is probably my favourite release from them also, with some darn catchy stoner-laced Doom riffs and Mike Scheidt's unique vocal styling. Revolution and Universe Throb are the highlights of this album.

Isis - In the Absence of Truth (2006)

Isis is a band from Boston, Massachusetts/Los Angeles, California in the United States who play an Atmospheric form of Sludge Metal, and who have Post-Hardcore elements starting to creep in. Isis has been getting a lot of playtime from me recently because I think frankly, their sound is pretty unique in a way and is rather relaxing.

In the Absence of Truth is by far my favourite album by them which features the song "Holy Tears" as well as other brilliant tracks such as "Over Root and Thorn" and "Not in Rivers, But in Drops"
